Considering the evidence of increases in VOC-19 cases worldwide, each country is taking the necessary measures to prevent the spread of infections.
In Spain, new measures were implemented at the national level to protect the population and reduce the number of transmissions. These include: the mandatory use of masks in both indoor and outdoor public spaces, even when a social distance of 1.5 metres is observed, the prohibition of smoking in the street within two metres of another person and the limitation of social gatherings to a maximum of 6 people.
In addition, the Generalitat de Catalunya has established additional measures, such as carrying out mass PCR tests, in an arbitrary way, and to anyone who has been in contact with known cases of COVID, delimiting the sources of contagion and reducing their growth, closing down restaurants and nightlife activities, promoting on line working from home, closing down gyms, beauty centres and large shopping malls. Likewise, border movement within the Autonomous Community has been restricted without a justifiable reason and a curfew has been established.
These measures do not restrict the activity of medical centres, essential services and schools that can maintain its activity open. All this has led to positive results in the implementation of these measures with a decrease in the rate and number of new infections.
As far as trips to Spain are concerned, from 23 November all passengers coming from a country or area at risk must have a PCR for SARS-CoV-2 with a negative result, carried out in the seventy-two hours prior to arrival in Spain.
It is compulsory for all passengers travelling to Spain, regardless of their nationality or residence status, to complete and sign the online form associated with a trip, following the instructions on the Spain Travel Health website or downloadable application (https://www.healthcontrolform.com/en). Once the form has been completed, a personal and non-transferable QR code is issued and will be shown at airport health checks on arrival.
Medical activities continue as normal and with the maximum clinical safety protocols against COVID. For your peace of mind, the clinic will provide you with a certificate so that you can present proof that you are following medical treatment if you are asked to do so.
At Reproclinic we have taken the maximum safety measures recommended by both health authorities and scientific organizations to guarantee the health of both our patients and our team of professionals and we need your collaboration.
For everyone's safety you should know that you cannot come to the clinic if you have or have had a fever, cough, or respiratory symptoms in the last 14 days. In this case you should inform the health system in your country to follow the instructions. We will be in contact with you to follow your progress and provide you with a new appointment as soon as possible.
We also ask you to:
When you arrive at the clinic, you should wash your hands with hydroalcoholic gel and keep a safe distance. You must not remove your mask at any time.
You must come to the facilities with a mask. In Spain it is compulsory to wear a mask in public places and in all indoor areas. Once you arrive at the clinic you will find the safety distances marked on the floor, a hydro-alcoholic gel for hand washing and disinfection. We will take your temperature, which must be below 37.5 degrees, in order to be able to access the facilities.
You should start your treatment only if you do not present symptoms compatible with COVID 19 and you did not have direct contact with positive or suspicious cases in the last 10 days. You can carry out your treatment if you have presented COVID 19 disease in the previous 14 days, but you have a negative PCR after the disease has passed.
In addition, to ensure maximum safety, we will ask you to take a PCR test which must be negative in order to perform the ovarian puncture, embryo transfer or semen sample processing and/or freezing.
Don't worry about anything, our patient care team will keep you informed at all times of what you are going to find and the steps to be taken. The entire team is at your disposal 7 days a week to guide you through the whole process. You can contact us by telephone, WhatsApp or by mail at any time and we will answer you as soon as possible. We know that the current situation creates many doubts, but we are here to help you and clarify all the doubts.
